It started out as an idea between friends. Blu Jam, a casual cafe that was born in Hollywood and utilizes seasonal local ingredients to create gourmet breakfast and lunch dishes at an affordable price. Friends and partners Kamil Majer and David Fris shared that dream, which ultimately became a reality in 2006 when our doors first opened on Melrose Avenue.

Blu Jam Cafe is synonymous with breakfast and brunch in LA - for locals and visitors alike. As they say: "Do what you're good at."

Inspired by culinary adventures and fusions from around the world, enjoy flavors from the Czech Republic, Italy, Mexico and beyond.

Our ingredients are locally-sourced and based on seasonal availability. Each dish is made fresh daily with taste and quality top of mind.

We are an active contributor in the communities we serve, from supporting local vendors and suppliers to special events and causes.

French brioche dipped in our secret batter, rolled in crunchy corn flakes and grilled to perfection. Topped with fresh berries, powdered sugar and vanilla bean sauce

Corn tortilla chips, sunny-side up eggs, braised pulled chicken, black beans, cotija cheese, pico de gallo and sour cream

Arborio rice, smoked bacon, green peas, mozzarella, poached eggs and herb pistou

The food is phenomenal. There are a lot of things I want to try, but no matter where I go for breakfast or brunch I have to try Eggs Benedict and this was a top 5 easily. The sauce was perfect, the eggs were perfect, everything about it was perfect.

4worldlovers: When we started Eggslut, we wanted to offer a product that we felt was missing from the market. We'd like to think we're offering something a lot of consumers enjoy --- hence, the line. We do our very best to accommodate all customers that choose to dine with us. We try our very best to expedite the process without skipping out on quality & service.

We wanted to offer fresh, quality products cooked to order. Because we use a higher quality product, there is a higher price for our delicious egg sammies. We take a lot of care in making them, so our hope is that you enjoy them all the more.

All our sandwiches come on a brioche bun or house-made biscuit. We do not currently offer any gluten-free bread options. We do offer a no-bread/sub salad option on all our dishes, and most of our sandwiches can be made without any meat. We cannot guarantee a gluten-free meal, as some of our other ingredients may contain gluten.
