We're not really the last bookstore - thank goodness - but we are the largest new and used bookstore in California. Plus, we're the only one that's 22,000 sq. feet with a record store, comic book store, 5 art studios, an epic yarn shop, a famous book tunnel, a mammoth head, and unexpected nooks of funkiness. Also we are in a hundred-year-old bank building, so we have vaults and ghosts.


A new zine exploring how the Last Bookstore and Lost Books came to be. It features stories on some of the local artists and community leaders who have contributed to our stores over the years, not to mention our wonderful staff!

This very special room - just to the left as you enter - is gated because it has all the fancy stuff: from first editions, collectibles and the extremely rare to expensive art/architecture/photo books. There are also inexpensive, fun things and discounted coffee table books. If you really want to impress your friends, we can also hold private events or parties in here.
